Seeds at City unites people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds with the common goals of improving the quality of the earth and the lives of those who work the land and who share in the harvest.  Our farm provides local, healthful organic foods to those who have little or no access to such produce and offers an education in the art of sustainable living to all.

FOOD GARDENING WORKSHOP Series
Next Workshop: Saturday August 28 10:00am-noon Food Preservation
Ever wondered to do with all of those extra brussel sprout greens? As the Summer season begins to tapir off, now’s the time to preserve the bounty as we learn about some of the basic methods of food preservation- and be thankful for that biological process called fermentation. We will sing the praises of fermentation and gather vegetables from the garden to make a community-inspired sauerkraut in which everyone can take some home and enjoy. Please bring a glass jar with lid to take your ‘live culture’ home with you.

Please register in advance or at the door.
Workshop cost $20.Events/Entries/2009/11/18_Workshop_%26_Registration.htmlHome_files/Workshop%20Series-6.pdfshapeimage_1_link_0
